Beck’s Motor Lodge
As I have mentioned in previous posts there is only one hotel in the Castro, it is Beck’s Motor Lodge. As you can see they have parking available. I have never stayed here nor have I met anyone that was staying here. But when I went by to take some pictures I asked about their rooms. They have rooms with multiple beds, king size beds and suites available. So there are plenty of choices to fit your needs. This is not the nicest place in San Francisco but its simple and close to everything.
Personally if I where planning on visiting San Francisco I would get a hotel in Union Square and then use public transportation like MUNI, which are trains directly to the Castro or get in a Taxi. It will only cost you $10 in a taxi to get to the Castro from Union Square. Also there are no BART stops here so if you plan on flying in and taking BART our train system to the city, you will need to change trains, up stairs to a MUNI train in order to get to the Castro.
You can also take a shuttle directly to this hotel, there are many discount services available. Just search for them. Beck’s Motor Lodge is in close proximity to Cafe Flore, Lookout and Gold’s Gym.
