Grocery Store

Rosenberg Deli & Market

without comments

Another grocery store in the Castro is Rosenberg Deli.  They have a nice selection of household goods, beer, and liquor.  The prices are about twice as much as Safeway, but they are convenient.  There is not much special to say other than I just want to be sure that I try to list as many businesses in the Castro as possible.  Rosenberg is located right next to Fin Decor, below Lookout and across the street from Cafe Flore.  The only paid parking garage in the Castro is right across the street.

Harvest Market

without comments

Harvest market is a great small market in the Castro with a nice selection of some very tasty and healthy organic foods.  My favorites are their sweets which are not loaded with tons of sugar and they are not made with high fructose corn syrup which just tastes off.  As a diabetic I should not be eating this crap at all but from time to time I really need my fix.  They also have a great selection of premium beers and some wine as well.

Your meal will not be cheap by any means, but if you have the budget to shop at Harvest you will like what you get.  They are conveniently located on Market St next door to Bagdad Cafe and across the street from Cafe Flore, Lookout and Starbelly which is located on 16 st just around the corner.

Buffalo Whole Food Market

Buffalo Whole Food Market is a specialty shop that has organic foods, many of which are local to the bar area. They also have a great selection of vitamins and supplements as well. They are a convenient option to going to Whole Foods which has actually opened up a location in Noe Valley recently on 24th st in the Castro.

They have all the basics such as milk, eggs, butter, bread and frozen foods which are all organic. They have some gluten free foods as well.
