Hardware Stores
Atlanta Shopping

If you’re looking to do some shopping in Atlanta, you won’t be left wanting. You can find just about any chain store under the sun at the Lennox Square Mall located in the famous Buckhead area of Atlanta on Peachtree. A Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales and Macy’s surround over two hundred different shops including a Fendi and a FACCONABLE if you really have money burning through your pockets. Also make a stop at the Underground Mall on Upper Alabama Street in the center of downtown Atlanta. The original town center since Atlanta’s founding, the area was covered over in the 1920s with concrete viaducts creating an underground mall area that was reopened in the late 80s. Tons of cool shops and restaurants, but after dark is a better time to check out the Underground. Several dance clubs, live jazz and reggae round out a good place to spend at least one night out.
Cliff’s Variety Hardware and Fabrics
Cliff’s Variety is two stores split between a hardware store with a nice selection of tools, small kitchen appliances, pots and pans and other cookware. They also make copies of keys as well. The staff is very helpful and will do their best to find a solution for your project. I have once in a while tried my best to not break out hysterically laughing when I see 2 butch lesbians talking about tools. Gay guys would turn everything they where talking about into sexual innuendos but they where serious about laying pipe!
They also have a fabric store with some great small parts for building out your kitchen and or bathroom. Just before Halloween they stock a tremendous amount of bits and pieces to build out a great costume, but get there early as they sell out fast. San Francisco does up Halloween like no other city, the Castro used to be one of the best places to go to see all of the great costumes and to really have a great time. Unfortunately 2 years in a row the bridge and tunnel crowd from Oakland, specifically the gangster also thought it would be great to show up and watch. Well they could not help but show their true nature and stab each other one year and open fire on each other the next. Since then the Mayor as shut down the Castro during Halloween to prevent these issues, the year after the shooting they required all of the businesses to shut down. They also asked Orphan Andy’s which is the only 24 hour restaurant in the Castro, they did not even know where the keys where to the front door since they had not locked the door in over 8 years.
