Gay Travel Buddy

New York City has an extremely large selection of gay bars and gay dance clubs to choose from.  If you have not been to NYC yet and are planning the places to visit, Splash will likely come up quite often in most lists.  I believe it is the largest gay dance club in the city, it is very very well designed and has a great sound system.  This gay bar has 2 levels, usually the bottom floor is only open on the weekends or holidays.  Most often they charge a cover, its never cheap.  Most often they have dancers in their underwear, scattered around the club, unlike many other gay dance clubs, Splash tends to have some of the hottest dancers I have ever seen.  Their drink prices are very high and they are not very big, so make sure you take quite a bit of cash or a credit card with you.  As I previously mentioned, this is a host spot for tourists, many of the locals don’t frequent this place as it’s very very expensive in comparison to most other clubs.  The guys who live in NYC and frequent this place are typically from money and have bad attitudes or are extremely hot and get other guys to pay their way.  When I have met guys there it has always been other tourists, typically the hottest ones I find are from the south or are from Ohio, they are the most friendly.

Splash is not very close to many other bars, but it’s usually packed on weekends.  Just a side note, the bathrooms on the lower levels are something to see, they are just very cool.  Just a few blocks away is a restaurant called Cafeteria in Chelsea, I love this place.  The name sounds like a turn off, but their food is amazing.
